Skins beat the Jets.

I admit I didn't get a chance to really watch this game but a win is a win. I did see the highlights of the end where the Jets had a chance to win the game and that WR dropped the ball right in his hands with about 5 seconds to go (he'll probably get his walking papers this week). It's preseason and I don't know why Mangini wanted to go for a tie but their kicker ended up hitting the post on the chip shot allowing the Skins to pull out the victory.

From what I did see and have read, the team was pretty inconsistent. JC and the first team offense didn't look as crisp and sharp as they had the previous two weeks. JC threw a couple of balls high which has been an issue in the past. The good thing is he was able to sustain one longer drive that did lead to a field goal. Another positive is that the running game looks better. It seems like more of a cutting/slashing type of running attack as opposed to Gibbs slower, wait for the hole to open up running game.

Again, I didn't see much but it didn't seem like that great a performance. I imagine the next game will be a little more time for the starters and then they will won't see too much work in the final preseason game as they will want to rest for the season opener especially since it will be played on a Thursday. ONLY 17 MORE DAYS!!!!

You call yourself a fan and yet you didn't watch the game. Shame on you. What the fark were you doing instead?!?!

I didn't get to see the first team offense play, but by all accounts, J-Cam had his worst outing of the preseason, yet he was able to lead the O on a scoring drive with a short field goal. I don't see any reason to be concerned with his performance.

It's good to have Rogers and McIntosh back. Hopefully they'll be ready to go full speed by week 1.

Suisham hit his field goals, which is important considering that since Chip Lohmiller, place-kicker has not been a position of consistency for us.

The RBs averaged over 8 yards a carry.

We got out of there with no major injuries.

I didn't see enough plays with the starting teams to be overly critical. I will say, however, that Devin Thomas should have caught at least one ball during the game considering he was in on a lot of plays. Welcome to the NFL rookie. Zorn doesn't seem like the type of guy that will cut him any slack for being new to the big leagues.

WE WANT COLT! WE WANT COLT! WE WANT COLT!

Get used to that chant, it is going to be a regular one at FedEx.

"WE WANT COLT" is a better problem to have than "GET LOST REX...AND TAKE KYLE WITH YOU!"

DC has always loved the back-up QBs. If you heard what Zorn had to say about Colt's performance, you'd know that there is no way Colt's name gets mixed up in a QB controversy.

I'm sure the fans are enamored with Colt but I'm also sure that if Colt were to face first team defenses in live situations, he would be eaten alive. He is showing talent but it's against guys that are going to be bagging groceries in October.

I have no concerns with the performance on Saturday. We are still showing confidence and camarderie which is good. No injuries is good. I still like where we are at this point of the preseason. I also know that there will be growing pains when the season opens for Zorn, Campbell, and the entire offense with the new scheme. However, I think we are much better and further along than I could have hoped given the new head coach and new scheme.

RobsObs is just trying to be silly with the Colt chanting. JC has been very good in preseason and camp and has a lock on the starting job and Zorn and the team know it. I do like that we have depth at QB with JC, then the vet in Collins, and then the rookie in Colt.

Agree with Deeps that it's a good problem to have and with his rendition of Bears fans chants.

I'm not being silly - I'm sure there will be Colt talk around DC - especially if the Redskins lose a couple of games early.

JC should be the starter, but you know how fans are, they think the guy on the bench is much better.

I just hope the Bears O-line can find a way to become average (I don't expect them to be great).

I don't disagree that there would be Colt talk if the Skins lose a few games early AND if JC sucks it up.

However, JC is firmly entrenched as the starter and has performed pretty well in time as the starter and has had a good camp so there isn't any reason to believe in any controversy at this point and Zorn is locked into JC as his starter and he and the players are what matter.

I told you though that if JC sucks it up bad for the first few games and we lose several games early, I too will reevaluate our QB situation. I have no problem recognizing when someone is not performing. I like JC and Zorn and the Redskins but if they don't perform, they don't perform and I can discuss that.
