Davis and Williams suspended for remainder of the season

Too bad as these guys are two of our best offensive players and would have liked to see them progress. It's a dumb mistake but hopefully they learn from it and not allow it to happen again. If it does, than I would be very upset because they would prove to be idiots.

It seems as though you should have made it plural as they have failed at least 3 tests. Shanny says he wants character guys, I wonder if he knows what that means? They should be arrested along with anyone who inhabits parks in large cities to protest just for the sake of protesting.

They are idiots. They are suspended without pay and will be put into the NFL drug program and will be tested at least weekly. Another infraction will cost them a full season. That alone should be a deterrance but we'll see.

Will be interesting to see what they do with Davis as he is having a breakout year and this is a contract year. I want him back but I would either give him a one year deal to prove that he can stay off of the ganja or draft up a contract that allows the Skins to cut him or get money back if he does drugs again.

Weed-smoking knuckleheads who are more likely to hurt their team again than they are to get their problem under control.

This is exactly what derailed Rashaan Salaam's promising career in Chicago. He won the Heisman, ends up having an 1100 yard rookie season in Chicago, but two years later he was out of the NFL.

The problem - smoking dope all the time. The dude couldn't help himself even with help from the team and eventually he was out of the NFL.

If I were the Deadskins, I would have to prepare for those guys not being able to control themselves and have solid backups.

Look - Davis is in his contract year and if he kept himself clean he signs a big extension. If that wasn't motivation enough for him to stay off the weed then what makes you think he is going to do it now?

It's all on those players now. They will be strictly monitored by the NFL and the Skins. Another slip will cost them an entire season. I think the Skins will try and keep Davis but they will structure a contract based on his conduct. It will protect themselves should he foul up again. If Davis is looking for a large, guaranteed deal without that clause, we should not sign him. WAY too risky. If another team is willing to do that, good luck to them.
