Neither is tearing it up and they are still very close. One or two games can easily change everything.

True, but you would expect a whole lot more from a guy who should be in his prime and has been a regular starter in the NFL for as long as Rexy has. Being ranked second to last is not what you would expect. JC is making small, consistent improvement every week thus far. We'll see how it plays out.

Last year, I could have said that Rex was a huge upgrade after the start he got off to. I think the only thing we can agree on is that we'll see over time.

Yes, we can agree on that. That's all I say (and have been saying) for both players. I gave Rexy every opportunity to prove that he could be a consistent QB. I said repeatedly that he is erratic and inconsistent and that I didn't think highly of him for his boneheaded mistakes. However, I agreed with you in that he did have quality games and could put together a solid performance but that he needed to do that on a regular basis. I didn't think he could do that and now he is showing us that. I also said that, fair or not, his play will be under a microscope and his mistakes would be magnified. I know the NFL.
