Skins will go after WR in FA

With money to spend, no question the Skins will go after a WR in FA. The names at the top of the list are Vincent Jackson, Pierre Garcon, and Marques Colston.

I think Jackson will be too expensive and at 29 years of age, he is lower on my list. He is the epitome of what the Skins have done wrong personnel wise in previous years. He will be looking for that final long term/big time pay day and he may have one or two good years left but for the Skins who are a couple years away from being ready for bigger things, he isn't the guy.

Garcon is interesting because he is 26 and has put up solid numbers but I'm not sure if he is a #1 WR. Still, he is younger and has been productive.

I like Colston. He too is 28 but he has the long body to stretch the field and the ability to go up and get the ball over CBs. I imagine he will also be much cheaper than Jackson.

There is always Dwayne Bowe but I see him more as the big possession WR. I think Hankerson can fit that role so not sure about him.

Then there is Robert Meachem who also has speed to stretch the field but not sure if he can do much more than Anthony Armstrong. Need to keep in mind that Colston and Meachem were the strong beneficiaries of Brees and the Saint offense.

Bottom line, with the large crop of FA WRs, we can expect the Skins to land someone. Again, I am hoping for someone younger that can grow with the offense and presumably a young QB (hopefully RG3).

I want the Bears to take a serious run at Jackson and Colston. We need a guy who will go up and get the ball for Jay.

Plus, the injury to Johnny Knox scares me. He is supposed to be OK, but the horrific shot he took will be tough to recover from - mentally more so than physically.
