Let the games begin. There are a number of quality FAs out there. Will be interesting to see who lands where.
By now, we have all heard about the NFL forcing the Skins to take $36 million in salary cap space away because of its approach to structuring contracts in 2010, when there was no salary cap. The Skins had $40M in cap space and because the $36M penalty can be spread over two years, it gives us $20+M cap space this year (assuming we split the $36M evenly over two years). We can get some additional space with the releases of some players (Atogwe and Sellers). Bottom line is that we don't have as much space but we still have plenty of space to make some signings.
I am hoping for a WR and a DB plus the resigning of Fletcher. Help on the O line would be a bonus.
The next couple of days should be fun.
