Dirty 30 joins Dirty Sanchez

Landry signed a 1 year deal with the Jets for $4M. Will be interesting to see if he can stay healthy all season. My guess is he won't be able to. When healthy, he is a force but he can't be any good if he isn't healthy enough to stay on the field.

The Jets needed help and seemed to be looking elsewhere but with other safeties signing and being taken off the board, they are hedging their bets with Landry. Again, I will be curious to see how he does. I hope he does well because I like him. We'll see.

Seems like a perfect place - lot of craziness and he can pump more steroids without anyone really caring.

Overpaid in my opinion.

Seems like the kind of guy Rex Ryan would like (attitude, lots of hype and hard hitting). I imagine the achilles will flare up in camp/preseason and he will be limited during the season eventually having to shut it down and resign himself to getting surgery.

He should switch to OLB. I don't think hes fit to be a safety.

I think his playing weight is about 220-ish. He's not big enough to play LB.

I agree with JKSD. Without surgery, there's no way he can make it through an entire season. I think Shanny would have been willing to resign him if had opted for surgery. Now, he's just going to have another season with a lot of uncertainty hanging over his head.

Agree with Deepie, in order to play LB he would have to put on 15-20 lbs. However, I don't disagree with JSR that he could play LB assuming he added the weight. His strengths are playing closer to the line and tackling.

I also agree with Deeps that Shanny would have wanted him back if he had opted for surgery. Shanny likes him but it's been 2 years of injuries and Landry still refuses to obey the experts and get surgery.

To Landry's credit, he only signed a one year deal in hopes of proving his health and landing the multiyear megadeal next season. My guess is that he is not going to be able to stay healthy. We'll see.
