What is wrong with Big Ben?

I think the picture and his shirt explain some of what is wrong with the guy. He's a good QB but seems to exercise some pretty poor judgement off the field. I'm all for him living it up. He's not the best looking guy in the world and wouldn't get nearly the attention he does from the ladies if he wasn't the Steelers QB.

Still, for the second time in a year, he is being accused of sexual abuse. I understand the latest accusations are coming from a 20 year old college girl so who knows what the truth is at this point. She may very well be opportunistic but then again, for Ben you have to be smarter about the choices you make and you would have thought he would have learned something from the first time there were accusations made against him.

Ben is living the college man's dream - he needs to grow up and lead his NFL team.

I've never been a huge Big Ben fan. I think he is a good QB who has benefitted from having a great team around him. These kinds of activities will wear thin pretty quick if he starts losing. And, I think there is a good chance the Steelers aren't as good on D as they have been in the past, so some losses may pile up.

I don't think Ben is an elite QB but I feel like he knows how to win and is a good fit for the Steelers. He has had great success up there and has managed to make the plays he needed to at the right times.

Hum? He's won two super bowls and you're saying that he's not an elite QB. He's a good leader on the field and he responds well under pressure. He's a young guy, who's not married and he's living it up. He'll probably get out of this one like the last one. Maybe he'll learn his lesson this time.

On a Redskins note, can you say Maake Kemoeatu who wll play the nose tackle position? Wonder what Haynesworth thinks about that. Maybe he'll lose weight and play DE.

Big Ben is a good fit for the Steelers. There is no disputing that he was the QB for two Super Bowl winning teams. He's had great success but I think he has had the benefit of great teams and great coaches. Still, he certainly played a part in those championships. I just don't think he is up there with Tom Brady or Peyton Manning or Drew Brees. Those guys are true difference makers.

It's fine to be single and live it up but you still have to be smart. As a professional athlete, you cannot put yourself in certain situations where it could even be construed that you did something wrong. There is the legal court but there is the court of public opinion and he is losing that battle. You would have thought he would have learned the first time. It wasn't even that long ago. Whatever.

As fara as Kemoeatu and Haynesworth, I think the intention is for Haynesworth to play some DE. I don't think Haynesworth is thrilled about being the NT in a 3-4 defense. However, as a DE, he would be better suited and can also provide good opportunities for the LB on his side that will be rushing. Kemoeatu is a good pick up if he stays healthy because he wants that position.
