I suppose the answer to whether he deserves forgiveness lies with Elin.
For me, he's the best golfer I have ever seen but I still think he is an arse. The fact that he was able to do what he did knowing he had a wife and kids at home shows what kind of character he has.
The dude was/is a freak. He clearly has some issues with morality and is probably a jerk, but two years from now if he wins a few majors he'll have all the sponsorships he wants.
Elin will be fine - it is embarrassing and painful for her - but at least she will live in luxury for the rest of her life. For the 50 percent of Americans who suffer through affairs and divorce, they don't have that option.
If Tiger tries to cheat Elin out of money or doesn't take care of his kids, that would be a problem. But I think he'll step up and do the best he can given the mess he has created.
Elin will be fine financially but what about her emotions? I say that with a tears filling my eyes but not yet finding their way on my cheeks and with my upper lip quivering.

I forgot...did he lose his sponsorship with and Accenture and Nike?
I believe Accenture dropped him but Nike has kept him.
Gatorade said they were dropping the Tiger brand anyways. I think he lost his sponsorship with the watch maker (Tag Heuer)?
He has lost a few sponsors but I believe still has a couple of big ones. I don't really think he is hurting for money though.
