Tiger apology coming today

This is a choreographed, scripted, staged statement that has been written and practiced over and over by Team Tiger so it won't really amount to much.

Still, he is going to have to get back out there at some point if he wants to continue his career. The way he has orchestrated this it's like going in ankle deep to test the waters so if that's what makes him feel comfortable, so be it.

I do agree with Els though in that the timing is a little screwy. He is doing it in the middle of a golf tournament. Seems to me he could've waited until Monday or Tuesday to make his statement so as not to take away from the tournament.

Whatever, Tiger is the greatest golfer we have ever seen but in my book, Tiger the person is an ass.

It doesn't seem to have amounted to much. He didn't really give any new info from what I have read (I did not see/hear his apology).

As for being selfish or the timing being during a golf tournament - that is just stupid.

He didn't plan it during any TV time for the tournament. Frankly, it may actually help ratings for the tournament because people may want to hear what golfers and announcers think about the apology.

Without Tiger, literally half to three quarters of the viewing audience isn't there and so money is much tighter for the PGA.

Els is entitled to his opinion, but he seems like he is whining for nothing.
