JC - Enough is Enough!

Good article I found on JC and the possibility of drafting Sanchez. Enjoy!

Jason Campbell was pretty cool about the whole "we're gonna get Jay Cutler!" business that the Redskins pulled a few weeks ago. He didn't make a stink about the possibility of being demoted and/or traded. And he didn't cry when the 'Skins publicly slapped him in the face.

But things will be different if Washington -- rumored to be interested by the way -- makes a play for Mark Sanchez, according to Steve Wyche at NFL.com: this time around, Campbell will reportedly demand that the team trade him if they go looking around for another signal caller.

And this shouldn't be surprising. Or effective for that matter -- if the Redskins do plan on drafting Sanchez, they'll be trading up, obviously, and after that sort of move, it has to be assumed that Dan Synder and Vinny Cerrato will make some sort of move to recoup their losses. Such a move will probably involve sending Campbell to a team in immediate need of a starting quarterback, like the Jets.

In other words, Campbell can posture publicly all he wants, but if the Redskins are dead-set on getting Sanchez, Campbell is already out the door anyway. Of course, two potentially fun amusing nightmarish situations could emerge. First, the Skins draft Sanchez and trade Campbell and all the JC-apologists immediately fire up the hate machine on Sanchez.

Far more enticing though, is the idea of the Skins trying to trade up, having their move made public and still managing to get beat out for Sanchez by the Jets or Seahawks or Browns. Then everyone's in a world of pain. Except for those of us who get to watch.

All I have to say is Snyder better not F this up!

I really do not understand the fascination with Sanchez. The guy played for a loaded team and was good but I don't see greatness.

Personally, I'd love to see the Redskins get Sanchez and struggle with a weak rookie signal caller. I think it would just be fun to see Redskin nation pissed off at Danny Boy.

Just give JC a chance. The guy is a solid NFL QB. He doesn't make mistakes, he seems to have the respect of his teammates, and he seems tough enough to play the position. There is either something we don't know or Danny Boy is a fool. Personally, I think it is the latter.

I am glad JC actually stepped up and said that if the Skins pursue Sanchez he will ask for a trade. I bet he is sick of that kind of talk and it's good to see some emotion from the guy. I know that if we get Sanchez, JC is as good as gone anyway as we will try and trade him to recoup draft picks. All this is nonsense. However, the author of the article brought up an interesting scenario that if we pursue Sanchez and it becomes public but fail, that will leave us in a very interesting predicament.

Honestly, what happens tomorrow will have a bearing on my feelings on this team. I know of other fans saying the same thing. This could be a disaster tomorrow.

There is a scenario that I read earlier today that the Redskins are trying to trade away their #13 pick, their third round pick this year (they don't have a 2nd, 4th, or 7th, so all they would have left is their 5th and 6th this year), and their first round pick next year to move up.

All of this to get Sanchez. Oh, how I hope that happens. It is pretty clear the Redskins are going to do something. If not, they would just come right out and say, JC IS THE MAN AND WE ARE NOT LOOKING TO GET SANCHEZ. I don't think they are posturing because I don't think they will get anything for their pick.

The Jets are not going to waste picks moving up to 13.
