Jags fire Del Rio

He was on the hot seat for a while and at 3-8, it's not a surprise. They really didn't look like a team that is headed in any direction and after 9 years, it is probably time for change.

Question is who is next. I got to believe Norv Turner is on the hot seat as the Chargers are floundering. He has been there for a while and he was never able to get them over the hump and it may be time for change in San Diego.

Others include:

Jim Caldwell
Leslie Frazier
Steve Spagnuolo
Todd Haley (depends how the Chefs finish)
Whisenhunt (depends how the Cards finish)
Sparano looks to have saved his job as the Fins are playing very competitive football for the last several weeks.

Will be interesting to see how teams finish up the season.

I think Norv, Caldwell, and Sparano are all gone at the end of the year.

The other guys I would be surprised about.

The one guy that I think may be in trouble but should not be is Andy Reid. His team is a mess and a lot of it is his own doing. I actually think Reid may want to move on from Philly on his own. It may be time to head to San Diego or Miami when those jobs open up.

Sparano has a chance if his team continues to play well.

I would be surprised by the others as well. However, their teams need to play better. If they get blown out in a few games, it might warm the seat some.

I don't think the Miami owner really likes Sparano. He wanted to hire Harbaugh. I don't see the Dolphins doing enough to save his job, but who knows?

Andy Reid is a great coach in my opinion. I think he was hurt by not having a good defensive coordinator this year. He went with a friend who had never coached D. When you look at most the Philly losses, they came after they were winning in the fourth quarter. This is a talented team that could use some better defensive coaching and probably an O-lineman or 2, and it would compete for the NFC title.

Reid is to blame for installing that O line dude as D Coordinator. He was involved with many of the personnel moves this offseason. They have to be considered the biggest disappointment of the NFL this season. He should be blamed for their struggles this season. I know the players like him and he has been there for a while and has a strong track record which could buy him some time but like other coaches, depending how they finish could determine his fate.

Get rid of a couple of knuckleheads like DeSean (trade him for picks - don't release him). Build up the O-line and get a new defensive coordinator and this team will compete for an NFC title.

There is enough good young talent on the team to win - they just needs some better coaching and a few tweaks.

I think if youre in Washington or Dallas youre always on the hot seat. so ill say Shanny, and Garret have a fire lit under them as well.

Firing Reid is a dumb move. Who are you going to find that gives the Eagles a better chance to win? With Reid's success record, it will be very improbable to find someone that can do better or just as good. This guy knows how to get his team to win and hes pretty good at finding the right personnel and staff. He makes the playoffs almost every year. which means that his team is always in the running for a championship. Hes made it to 4 NFC championship games and 1 Superbowl which they should have won. I just don't think you have a good chance of success at finding someone better to take over. Hes been coaching in a tough philly market for 12 years. To survive that long in that type of insanely scrutinizing market is incredible. if he is fired, he wont be unemployed for long unless he wants to be.
