So why do athletes have to get in suits after games? I can understand if you are on the road and the team policy is to get in a suit on the plane and stuff but what about when you play at home? For instance, the Caps would play a home game and finish up around 10 pm. Between showering and interviews and stuff, it must be close to 11 pm before they leave to go home so why get in a suit? Why get all dressed up to go home and change out of the suit?
Just find that interesting.

The NBA established a policy a couple of years ago that requires a dress shirt and a jacket because they are thugs. Thug Life Baby!

Why do I give a shart what a guy wears after a game and goes home? If the dude plays well and we win, great. Who gives a shart if the guy pulls his pud for three periods and then showers and dresses in a $700 suit so he can drive home and then get into his pjs? I guess Deepie does.
I suppose I can understand the rules by the league and teams so as to represent the league, team, individuals in a positive light but I don't really give a shart.
Actually...I don't care. I think it's a bit odd, but it does allow the players to present themselves in a more professional manner than wearing sweats with a baseball cap turned sideways and bling out the wazoo.
Now that I think about it, I do care. I'd rather see these guys who, like it or not, are role-models to a ton of young kids, look like adults/professionals rather than a bunch of thug-life gang-bangers.
I suppose I care in that I wouldn't want to see them look like a hoodlum but I to put on a full suit with dress shirt and tie and all the other acoutremaire seems silly when you are just going to go home and get in your jammies.
