Skins and Rocky McIntosh agreed on the 1 year tender offer of $1.7M this year. McIntosh skipped the first voluntary OTAs but participated in the second one as he was displeased with not being able to become an UFA. He was seeking a multiyear deal from the Skins. Such is life. There are many other players on other teams in similar situations. It's tough but it is what it is so players should go ahead and sign. McIntosh should play out and if he performs, he will get paid.
For me, McIntosh is a solid LB but nothing special and he has had injury issues so I wouldn't want to invest tons of money in the guy either.

I don't think he's that solid for a first round pick. He was pretty slow last year. Maybe he was hurting. He doesn't see to be that smart of a football player. Maybe his one year deal will incentivize him to play better to get a new deal.
Not sure if this "Scott" guy knows what he's talking about. McIntosh was a 2nd rounder who, last year, played his second season after blowing out his knee and requiring reconstructive surgery. It generally takes a couple of years to recover, but Rocky was consistently noted as one of the guys who was always around the ball making plays.
Rocky is a decent player and I do agree with "Scott" that maybe he'll take his game up a notch to get a better deal next year.
Rocky was a second rounder but the first pick for the Redskins in that draft.
He is solid but I wouldn't lose sleep if we lost him.
I'm sure Deepie is not interested in going to war with this "Scott" guy over football knowledge.
I don't think anyone cares that a player is recovering from an injury and performs below his normal standard. Being a NFL player is a very hard job with usually a very short term because people get injured and are replaced by bigger, stronger, and faster players.
