51-45 was the final score. Great game if you love offense. Felt bad for GB having fought back multiple times from great deficits only to come up short in OT. The Pack scored to tie the game with less than 2 minutes left in the game only to watch Warner and Co. drive down the field to set up a 34 yard Rackers FG with 14 seconds remaining. Rackers drove it wide left and kept the Packers hope alive. At that point, you kind of felt like the Packers were going to pull it out especially when they won the coin toss.
On a 3rd and 5 in OT, Rodgers held on too long and was hit and lost the ball that went right into the waiting arms of Dansby who ran it in for the game winning TD. Again, REALLY tough loss for the Packers and you have to feel especially bad for Rodgers who had a great game but will probably only remember that last play in that game. Tough knowing that that is the play that ended your season.
For us fans, it was fantastic. That is the beauty of playoff football. I love it and can only hope for equally entertaining games next week.

There were three horrible calls/no calls that really doomed the Pack. The Cards TD where Fitzgerald laid out and caught the TD pass was clearly an offensive holding. There was no way a ref should miss that play. It would have made it 1st and 15 at the Pack 21 and the Cards may have still scored but inexplicably they called roughing the passer on the play. Troy Aikman pointed out the foolishness of the call at the time.
However, the play that really bugged me was in OT when they called holding on the second down play. It was a hold, but that would have been negated by the obvious helmet to helmet hit delivered on Aaron Rodgers. That should have been an easy 15-yard penalty.
On the fumble, Rodgers got his facemask pulled and that should have been a clear call also.
Look, Arizona may still have won the game and they probably should have won it in regulation with the Rackers kick, but those two blown calls were crazy to miss and that is a shame.
Then
Then what?
You seemed to have been cut off.
I only saw the first play you pointed out and agree that that was a terrible call. At the very least, they shouldn't have called the Packer lineman for a personal foul. I like Aikman and think he is the best color commentator out there right now. Glad he gives his opinions.
It was a tough game and really tough if the refs blew calls that could have impacted the game.
It happens. That's sports.
Then nothing - that was just an extraneous word. Sorry about that.
In a year where QBs are over-protected and in a game where Warner got the benefit of a horrible call - it is ridiculous that Rodgers did not get two calls in OT that were so blatantly obvious.
Those weren't judgment calls, those were obvious penalties.
You're right that stuff happens, but I don't ever remember 2 horribly missed calls coming on back-to-back plays that ended a game.
