Gilbert is a (agent) ZERO!

Guy is an idiot. He fools around too much and thinks everything is funny and doesn't realize his actions.

I think we all know what he has done and now he has been suspended indefinitely which means most likely at least the remainder of the season. He is suspended w/o pay meaning he gives up about $10M dollars for the remainder of the season. The thing is he better hope he doesn't get charged and convicted of a felony because the Wiz will most likely void his mega contract because of conduct issues.

He has already stolen from the Wiz on that contract by being largely inactive because of injury the last couple of years. The thing is even if he does not get any jail time and he gets reinstated next year and the Wiz are able to opt out of the contract, he will have forfeited A LOT of money. The guy would be turning 29, has had knee persistent knee injuries, would not have played the better part of three years, and is a tremendous head case/pain in the locker room. I'm sure he would still get a contract but nothing like he signed with the Wiz. Probably a 1 year contract for a few million dollars.

I will say that if I was on the Wiz and I didn't see it coming and he started shooting imaginary guns during the introduction, I would probably have laughed too. C'mon, I know you guys would've too.

He is an idiot, but I don't know the details of what he did. If he brought loaded, unregistered guns into the locker room and threatened a teammate he should be out of the NBA. However, I heard a report on ESPN's First Take that the Wizards knew that Gil had unloaded guns in his locker.

Hard to know what to believe. But, until I know more it is hard to comment on what the appropriate punishment is.

It's ridiculous. There are a number of reports and who knows the real truth but the fact that this guy continued to joke around about it on his Twitter page and then in games and stuff is just ridiculous. The guy is not a kid either. He is 28 years old and a long time NBA vet. He really should know better.

Still, his shooting imaginary guns during the introduction would have probably had me laughing.

He's a funny idiot.

Apparently it was Crittenden who loaded his gun. I don't think Gil did. He did lay out his guns in the locker room - which he shouldn't have done (he shouldn't even have guns there).

If Gil were raining down threes and the Wizards were winning the NBA would not have taken such a hard stand. The Wiz are losing and this is a way to get rid of his contract.

Doesn't matter whether Gil was raining down threes. Gil was making light of the situation and throwing it in Stern's face by Twittering about it, dropping three's then blowing out pretend smoking guns, and then pretending to shoot with imaginary guns during introductions. There is no doubt this was pissing off Stern and enough was enough.

He could have been hitting threes but he would have still gotten the same punishment.

Whatever. I hope Gil leaves. I actually liked him long after many fans had turned against him because he brought some sense of stardom to the Wiz and seemed like the perennial All Star that you could use to help build a franchise but I'm tired of the guy and hope the Wiz void the contract and let him walk. Because the thing is even with him in there this year, they haven't been good. In fact, they had been using Boykins a lot in the 4th quarter because he was less likely to make turnovers and was more reliable in general with the ball.
