Sad anytime you hear about a young man with talent like that passing away. They say it was cardiac arrest. Toxicology reports will be released in a couple of months but it sounds like the guys was a decent guy.
From the business standpoint (which is very secondary), the Bears lose out on their second round draft pick because of the trade for Adams and basically have nothing to show for that trade now.

Tough break for his family and for the Bears.
It happens.
The Bears made a bad trade when they got him. They disrupted their D-line when they were 3-1 and they seemed to never get back into rhythm on the D-line. Still, Adams was young and could have been a force if he bulked up and played to his potential. The loss of the 2nd round pick compounds the negativity for the Bears with respect to the trade.
We'll see if drugs or other factors played a part, but it is sad that a 26-year old guy with the world in front of him passes away.
