Training Camp is here!

So training camp has started. It's good to know that the football season is right around the corner. From the sounds of things, it seems like the Skins have the following issues:

1. O line needs to tighten up. The group says that they need time to gel and build chemistry but we really need for them to give JC time or else it doesn't matter how much he has improved or knows the WC offense, he will be spending most of his time running for his life or on his back.

2. They seem to want to give Devin Thomas the #2 WR spot. I think it will go to him and he needs to produce. Randle El is better suited for the slot.

3. Orakpo seems to be impressing all.

4. Defense looks good.

5. JC seems to be more comfortable with the offense and being the leader. Hopefully he can show it because I like the guy and would really like to see him succeed.

We'll see how the storylines playout over the next month or so.

BTW - first Skin preseason game is one week away (8/13).

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

This is posted from a fellow Skins fan:

Hopefully, the Skins receivers will be able to increase their yards-after-catch statistics because Campbell won't have the time to throw long. Specifically, the tackles are weak. I don't care if Samuels is a pro bowler. He doesn't do well against speed. Heyer should not be a starter in this league. They need to get John Runyan if he hasn't been signed yet.

Saw a clip of Orakpo flying by Samuels. No question O line is a HUGE concern. I like Rabach and Dockery. After that, it gets a little dicey. Samuels is getting up there as is Thomas. Heyer is still a work in progress. His man boobs probably hurt in that they get in the way of him having proper technique.

Maybe Jeremy Bridges will step up. He certainly wants a starting role. Mike Williams is still too big and rusty. Rinehart doesn't seem to be developing as quickly/well as he should be.

As far as Runyan goes, not sure I would want to gamble on him. He will be 36 years old this year and is coming off of surgery. He will probably want to be paid big money because of who he is but not sure how capable he is at this point.

I do feel badly for JC because even if the O line plays poorly affecting his game, he will get the brunt of their poor play.

Again, hopefully the WRs step up and hopefully this O line gels.

The real strength and positive for this team is their defense and hopefully they can keep us in games.

Lots of "hopefullys" so lets see what happens. Looking forward to Thursday's opening preseason game.
