Orton to get the start.

Probably a smart move. Rexy is out. Griese is not the long term answer. The season is over. You might as well see what you have in Orton. The Bears will have a decision to make at QB next year. Will they commit to Rexy and give him a contract? Does Rexy even want to stay with the Bears? Griese is fine as a backup. What do you have in Orton? If a top QB is available in the draft, will they draft that person?

It will be interesting to see which way they go.

I am totally for it. You have to see what he can do. His rookie contract probably runs out next year.

I like Griese as a backup and would like to see Rex back. They need O-line help and could use another running back for depth. That would really help the offense in general.

Rexy said that he wanted to come back if the Bears would have him. This may just be politically correct speak for the Chicago media or it may be sincere.

Personally, I think he should move on. He has been blasted in Chicago and unless he lights it up and plays unbelievably for an extended period of time, it will be hard for him to win over the fans. The second he throws an INT or a fumble, he will be ripped. He has worn out his welcome there and seems like he would be better off starting new some where else.

It would be interesting to see him as a Lion. He might enjoy playing in the Mike Martz offense with the weapons they have. It would also be interesting to see because Detroit is in the same division as Chicago.

Again, the Bears are just in a tough situation because their QB situation is just so up in the air. Unless, Orton proves to be unbelievable, they will go into the offseason without a true #1 QB.

Rex will be back (hopefully).

I'd like to see him go hook up some where else and do well. Especially if it was the Lions. Again, that system seems like it could suit Rexy. Also, it would be a divisional opponent. I just think it will be tough for him to win over the Chicago fans and he would be well served to start fresh somewhere else.
