There's discussion on Washingtonpost.com indicating that the stunt was real to some degree. JC wouldn't say it outright, but from what I can gather, he was able to get it done in 2 tries. They apparently took 40-50 takes to get it down pat though.
Deepie, I read the article. I think you are greatly misreading it. They shot a bunch of takes and then it is likely that they spliced together at least four different shots of JC, one of the balls hitting in the air, one where one receiver caught a ball and another where the other receiver caught a ball.
They did not practice it 4-50 times. I can tell you that there is no way that those receivers were running down the field that many times to "get it down pat." That is just ridiculous.
I like JC, but please, if you think he actually threw two balls down the field, had them hit and deflect to two different receivers standing 20-30 yards apart, you are completely delusional.
If he did it, all he had to say when he was asked is "Yeah, I did it." But he didn't do that.
I said it was real to some degree. If what I said sounds like there was no video editing going on, then that's not what I meant.
Based on the article, I don't doubt that he was able to hit the first ball with the second...But that's not the point. The point is his confidence and his personality are shining through with stuff like this and I'm glad to have him as my team's QB regardless of what tricks he can do with his balls. Now let's see if the confidence and charisma translate into solid QB play.
As mentioned, whether it is fake or real is almost immaterial to me. The confidence that JC exudes is exciting. The fact that he is coming into his own and seems to be taking control of the 'Skins and becoming the leader is what is important.
I was looking at it again and it is clearly fake. Watch it again and watch the shadow of the second ball.

If the guy could stretch his balls out and tie them behind is back would you still want his as your QB? I say put him in a freak show and sell tickets - you know Danny Boy would do it!

If he can throw 24 TDs this year, then like I said, I don't care what he does with his balls.
