Cubs were down 3-0 to the Brewers yesterday in the first game of a big series but came back to win 5-3. It's a huge win as it pushes us 2 games in front of second place St. Louis (2.5 games ahead of the Brewers). We have our ace in Big Z going today against Milwaukee's ace, Ben Sheets, who is coming off of a finger injury and hasn't pitched since July.
The Cubbies got Soriano back in the lineup yesterday who is coming off of a hamstring injury so that is good news. He went 0-4 yesterday but just his presence has to inject some excitement into the team.
We are coming down the stretch here and hopefully the Cubs can hold on to the division lead. We all know that the playoffs are a second season and it doesn't matter what your record was in the regular season...anything can happen.
