I'm good with it.
Frankly, the fact that we went O line with our first pick is huge. I was just afraid we might do something dumb. Okung seemed like the best name at O line but Williams apparently has more of an upside and is more athletic and seems to fit the scheme better so I'm happy about that. There were rumors we would take S Eric Berry which wouldn't have been terrible but we really needed to go O line.
McNabb was essentially our second round pick so I'm fine with that.
Jeremy Jarmon was essentially our third round pick as we took him in the supplemental draft last year so I'm good with that.
This LB Riley in the fourth round seems like a solid pick. He was a former Butkus finalist (top LB in the country). He played outside LB in college but all the scouts project him to be an inside LB in the pros which is good as we make the move to the 3-4 defense. We really didn't have another inside LB so it's a good pick. However, Bruce Campbell from MD was available and was considered a possible first round pick and it would have been nice to get another O lineman so that we would have all new tackles. The hope would have been that we had guys that could be the bookends of the line for the next 10 years.
Didn't really understand the TE we picked up. We seem stacked at TE but I guess this guy is more of a Mike Sellers type (big, blocking type of guy).
Three picks in the 7th round -- a WR and two O linemen. These guys are long shots to make the team but at least we drafted for need and one of these guys may be a diamond in the rough.
All in all, solid picks.

I'm happy with our choices, primarily because we took the OT we needed in the first round. I would have liked to see us take Myron Rolle, the Rhodes Scholar FS out of FSU. He went in the 6th round and was projected as high as a late 1st to early 2nd rounder.
Selvish Capers, the OT we took with our last pick apparently is being graded as a steal. Some of the stuff I read on him says he was projected as a 2nd round talent. He could compete for the RT job and maybe we will have our bookends.
Much better draft/offseason than the normal Deadskin offseason.
Just as I said - JC was NEVER going to make the roster for the Deadskins this year.
They got a 4th round pick in 2 years for him - so at least they got something. Although, I also heard there are some conditional elements that may result in the Deadskins getting nothing in return. Not sure about that, but I heard something about JC having to make the Raiders roster and possibly even being a Pro Bowler for the Deadskins to get the pick.
In the end, the Deadskins improved and may now be able to get to 8-8. I still see 7-9 in their future.
Well, in honor of JKSD's thorough draft analysis, I thought it may be appropriate to celebrate his daily cold draft beer analysis from his Keg-a-rator. To that end, I've composed the following to the McDonald's ad theme, "I'm Eggin It":

I would have really liked Myron Rolle. This is a guy that just seems like he will be successful at anything he touches.
Selvish Capers was on the Mike Wise show this pm and was talking about being able to take Haynesworth one on one. Not sure about that but you have to like his confidence.
Frankly, if we go 8-8 it will have been a VERY successful year as we will have doubled our wins from last year.

If they can go 8-8, they can go 10-6. I don't think that you can make any projections based on last year's team. But, if you do, the Skins lost 7 games last year by 6 points or less. I still stick with my original prognosis of 10-6.
Oh, one more thing. Apparently, it is important for a Free Safety to have fast closing speed in the NFL. Unfortunately, Myron Rolle's 40 time was 4.67. Our new OT Williams ran 4.8. What does that tell you? Also, Rolle only had one interception in his college career. He seems to be much more of a tackler, although he's only 6-1 215. He may be brilliant, but I fear that the game will be too fast for him at this level, hence, he's a 6th round pick.
BTW, W&M All-American senior defensive end Adrian Tracy was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round (184th pick overall), while the Dallas Cowboys chose fellow senior defensive tackle Sean Lissemore in the seventh round with the 234th pick of the draft. JR Archer (QB) was extended a free agent offer by the Minnesota Vikings after the draft, while safety David Caldwell accepted a free agent offer from the Indianapolis Colts. Go Tribe!
I just hope to make improvement on a weekly basis. I think there is talent on the team and smart guys coaching the team but it just takes time for everything to meld (talent, coaches, schemes, players that fit the schemes, etc.) so I don't have delusions of grandeur.
Again, 8-8 would make me very happy. We have to keep in mind that we have a pretty difficult schedule.
Interesting stats on Rolle. Didn't know that. When you put it that way, he seems to have some issues. Still, I think the guy is a high character, smart guy that would be willing to work to improve so I wouldn't have minded a late pick on him.
Congrats on the 7th round picks and the non drafted guys getting an invite to a camp but chances are they have no chance of making a team.
BTW, James Madison linebacker Arthur Moats, a two-year starter for the Dukes, was picked in the sixth round by Buffalo. Named the Football Championship Subdivision's top defensive player last season, he projects as an outside linebacker in the NFL. Jacksonville took kick/punt returner Scotty McGee later in the sixth round.
