Jimmy Clausen going pro

The only reason why I mention this is that in the ESPN report on their website it mentions the Skins as being a team interested in this guy.

Fine, Clausen worked in a pro style offense, had a good year, and was away from home in a high profile position, and also worked behind a poor O line in his career. I still don't want him unless he is around in the 3rd/4th round.

The Redskins need to focus on O line in the first two rounds at least. If we take Clausen, I will be ticked.

He's just the kind of jerk Danny Boy would draft.

Jerk? Any proof to that claim? I'm just curious because I know nothing about him except that he's accurate and he threw 28 TDs to 4 picks this season.

I'm with JKSD. I don't want a diva QB in the first round. We MUST address the O-Line. This is how I'd like to see us approach the draft:

1. Take the best LT or RT available - We should also resign Levi Jones. The key will be to find someone who is better than Heyer and can step right in.
2. CB - Rogers is done and Smoot is on the decline. Barnes' development may make going after another O-lineman make sense here though.
3. No pick - took Jarmon in the supplemental draft. He'll be back next year and will help solidify the DE position.
4. CB/FS/OG - Whatever we don't take in the second gets addressed here.
5. O-line.
6. No pick - Jason Taylor trade.
7. FB - Sellers is getting older and hasn't been himself this year.

1. LT or RT
2. LT or RT (whatever we took in the first, take the other in the second)
4. CB or RB
5. CB or RB (similarly, take the opposite of whatever we took in the fourth)
7. I'd be fine with a positional player from a small school that was an athlete.

He showed up at Notre Dame in a stretch limo as a freshman, got out wearing his three state high school championship rings and said he was going to win 4 national championships.

He has had multiple drunk in public citations and just last week got punched in the eye when he was drunk at a bar.

He has a subpar arm but a supercharged ego - perfect for Danny Boy.

Looks like there are only two, maybe three, tackles worth taking with a high first round pick...If the top prospects are gone, then we have to go with a QB. Even if Campbell stays, Collins may be gone and Brennen is not the answer.

The only other option would be to trade down and get a lower first rounder and additional picks and get O-line depth there.

In any case, I'd make a better GM than Snyderatto.

We will have a top 5 pick and certainly should be able to get a top fledged T at that spot.

Do NOT go QB. If we can't get a legitimate starting T, than try and trade down for more picks.
