Congratulations to Art Monk and Darrell Green.

A quick congratulations to Art Monk and Darrell Green for being selected into the Hall of Fame. Both men are deserving of the honor. They were great players and even more importantly great people.

For my generation, they have to be considered the greatest Redskins we knew.

Again, congratulations to the two of them.

A great honor for a couple of great players. Green was a shoo-in. Monk should have been elected seven years ago. Regardless, it is good to see two of the best players from one of the greatest teams in NFL history finally get their due. I can't think of any other team that had been to four Super Bowls in a ten year span and had such little representation in the HOF.

Indeed. Art was well deserving and should have been a first ballot Hall of Famer. The problem was that he never drew any attention to himself and very quietly achieved the numbers that he did. His numbers were better than some of the WRs already in the HOF and considering he played in a different era when passing wasn't as prevalent as it is now, you have to appreciate how good he really was.

Anyway, great to see those two guys get in. As mentioned, what truly makes them great were that they were great players but more importantly, great people and great ambassadors of the game.
