Matar Alloo is in love with Sly Stabone!

I don't think I have ever been witness to such undying, unconditional man on man love.

Talk about a man crush. Maybe when matar sits on Sly's face for what he believes would be a pleasurable experience he'll realize just how swollen Sly has become from the HGH.

Not sure if matar will be able to get his scrawny legs around Stabone's head seeing how large and grotesque it has become from the HGH abuse.

Also, because of the HGH abuse, Stabone's lips/mouth/tongue will be obscenely large thus making matar's teeny dingy even less satisfying/gratifying for the disgusting Stabone.

In his day, Sly was THE MAN. Now, I think of Sly as a horrific car crash. As you pass you cannot look away, but you don't go looking for one. I'll watch Sly's latest movies if/when they get on TV, or if Matar drops off DVDs, but think his HGH-induced puffiness is too much for me to overcome. I won't go by the $10 movie ticket.

Yes, I love Sly Stallone. But not as much as Deepie and JKD enjoy stripping each other down to the bare ass, lathering themesleves in potpouri scented baby oil, and punching each others balsacs.

Much like how I will always remain a fan of the Redskins, I will always remain a fan of Sly's...unlike you losers who see one bad thing and are ready to turn your heads away. He's only the same man who created the 2 most memorable characters of American pop culture...his characters have molded the never say die spirit of athletes, and just in general, people, around the globe and will continue to do so for generations to come. Period.

Sly, keep up the good work. Just lay of the HGH next time please.

No thanks. I prefer to punch my own balsac.

Matar. Don't get me wrong. Sly is still the man. I am not denying his importance in pop culture. It's just really disappointing to see someone who I admire not coming to grips with time and his age. I am not a fan of drugs of any kind. Would it have really mattered if he were a little more flabby in these latest movies he's making? Not in my book.

I agree with you...There's no reason that Rambo shouldn't have some gray hairs and be older and a bit withered. In fact I think it would be great if he were to play a more mature action hero similar to that of Sean Connery's in The Rock. That movie was fantasitc...it starred an aging action hero, and they incorporated his age into a good storyline.

Sean Connery can act. Sly can't - unless you think talking like a brain-dead dork and yelling out primitive screeches is acting.

I suppose he could play washed-up Vietnam vet who is down on his luck and who is suffering from mental problems - oh yeah, he is in the new Rambo.

I know, he would be perfect for a washed-up boxer who is down on his luck and who is suffering from brain damage - oh yeah, he did that in Rocky VI.

Perhaps he could play a washed-up football player who is down on his luck and suffering from brain damage from too many concussions. The movie could be written as a comedy or a drama - whatever.

See "one bad thing," matar? Yes, I remember how great he was and how much people enjoyed watching:

Cobra
Stop! Or my Mom will Shoot!
Over the Top
Rhinestone
Get Carter
Driven
Oscar

Any movie the guy made over the last several years went straight to video because Sly is a has been. The only thing he could do was resurrect the characters that made him famous (Rocky and Rambo). There is a cult following for those characters and people will go see it but clearly from the Rambo trailer, it is just a blood and guts freakshow that will appeal because of sheer shock value.

Agree with RobsObs (wow! we are agreeing much more these days) in that you can't compare Sly with Connery. Connery is a fine actor. Sly has relied on his body and the brainless characters that he plays. The only thing that has changed from Sly playing brainless characters in the past is that he is now a druggie playing brainless characters.

P.S. I will allow your comment about lathering up in potpourri slide this time. However, beware what you say to me. You don't want to come to a gunfight with a plastic spork.

Hey, Cobra was craptacular...and Oscar was given Two Thumbs Up by Siskel and Ebert back in the day.

Just for clarity, I was never comparing acting ability. I was comparing storylines. Sly's acting sucks ass...I know that...but at least he can attempt to act in an intelligent storyline. Copland was the closest thing to that and he did a fine job.

You all are the same. Rob gave up on the Skins...a team he once used to admire. And now you guys have given up on Sly...a man that you all used to admire. Pathetic.

Hate whoever you want. Just don't bring it to my door.

I don't even understand what you are trying to point out in your last post, Matar. You said that you wanted to see Sly "play a more mature action hero similar to that of Sean Connery's in The Rock." However, since I assume this would require less physical action and more acting how is this possible? You just said that "Sly's acting sucks ass." So how would he be able to pull that off?

You further say that, "at least he can attempt to act in an intelligent storyline." Well, wouldn't anyone who labels themself as an actor make the same claim? If any "actor" were to say that he/she CAN'T attempt to act in an intelligent storyline then they should go back to their waiting tables job. Are you THAT much in love with Sly?

I'm not sure if I ever admired Sly. Sure, I watched his movies and enjoyed them. Even if I admired Sly back in the day, the guy is holding on to something that just isn't there anymore. He is making a mockery of the characters that we loved growing up. In the process, he has sold his soul by abusing illegal drugs to hold on to the fledgling career. What's to admire in that? If the trailer is any indicator of what to expect in the movie, all the new Rambo film is a blood and guts violent extravaganza that is simply appealing to people's shock value. It's similar to a boxer who can't hang it up and knows they don't have what they used to. You almost feel embarrassed for the guy for not being able to walk away and letting us enjoy the characters he created. As I have mentioned previously, it's almost like he is a charicature of Rambo now.
