Meriweather and Robinson hurt in pregame warmups

Freak accident in last week's pregame looks like will cost us Brandon Meriweather for at least a couple more weeks.  It's actually a pretty bad collision as Meriweather's knee looks to bend awkwardly.  Too bad as he was set to make his season debut against the Buccaneers.  It's tough because Gomes was replaced by Reed Doughty.  I like Doughty but he is more of a special teams stalwart as opposed to a starter at safety.

Also too bad for Aldrick Robinson who is having himself a pretty decent season.  However, his loss is not as difficult to handle as we have good depth at the WR position.

Meriweather sprained the MCL and PCL in his already injured knee.  Hopefully he returns soon as we certainly need the help in the secondary.

Man. Just when it looked like we were going to get things back in order in the secondary, this had to happen. I guess the football gods still don't want to see the Skins succeed. At least we came out of the game with a win, but Meriweather's return would have been a big confidence boost, especially now that the Falcons are coming to town.
