Good MJ Commercial
This is a good MJ commercial but it would also be a good lesson for VY. Especially the words, "That my game was built on flash and not fire. Maybe it's my fault that you didn't see that failure gave me strength. That my pain was my motivation. Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God given gift and not something I worked for...every single day of my life."
VY has unbelievable natural abilities -- the kind we could only hope and dream for but he needs to feed that gift and become the QB he is capable of becoming. He needs to not get down and use tough times as motivation to get better. No question he has the talent. He just needs the heart and toughness.

MJ was so driven by adversity that he would play with more passion and intensity when the stakes were high.
VY's obviously not like that. All he wants right now is for his mommy to tell him everything is going to be ok and give him a big hug. Unless he gets his head on straight and begins to understand that learning to become a professional is going to take time and a lot of dedication, he's going to continue to be a head case.
Failure and rejection drove MJ to greatness. He was a student of the game. Sure, he had unbelievable talent but he worked hard at perfecting his skills. That was evident as he got older and as his physical abilities diminished, he adapted. He became a better shooter. He worked on his defense. He was a leader in every sense of the word. That is what made MJ so great. Having the talent but not relying on it. He was successful because he worked hard.
VY wants to use his athleticism but not work hard on honing his QB skills. Coming out of college he wasn't known as a tremendously accurate passer or for being able to read defenses and anticipate passes. Most everyone recognizes that he is fragile and sensitive. He needs to toughen up and become the QB/leader he is capable of becoming. He is at a crossroads in his career and he can either hide behind mommy's skirt or take the reigns and charge forward.
