What is going on with the Cubbies?

So the good news is that the starting pitching has actually held up pretty well. Marquis, Lilly, and Hll have been surprisingly good while the one sure thing (Big Z) has struggled. Still, the starting pitching is like 21-13. The problems is that the bullpen has SUCKED!!! They are like 2-13. Scott Eyre has been a disgrace amongst disgraceful relievers. Additionally, the offense has been very inconsistent. One game we will put up 8 runs and then we will go a stretch of 3-4 games putting up 2-3 runs.

Looks like everyone is pressing but hopefully we will loosen up soon and catch on a hot streak. Another good thing is that the Brewers have REALLY cooled off so we are only about 6 games out even though we have been terrible. Hopefully the tide will turn soon.

They have clubhouse problems. They brought in a lot of new guys and they aren't getting along.

Zambrano sent Barrett to the hospital with a split lip yesterday.

Fortunately, the Brewers and pretty much the rest of the division has been weak. But if they don't get their s**t together soon, it will be over.

Also, doesn't seem like they have taken to Lou's style of managing. Lou has been pretty much calling out the team in the media and the players don't like that. They scored 10 runs yesterday in a game w/o Lou. We'll see if playing for the more relaxed Alan Trammell makes a difference while Lou is suspended.

Still, in the past, 10 runs in one game means that the Cubs won't score another run for a week and a half. We'll see.

Still plenty of time to right the ship, especially in their division.

Let's hope things improve.
