LINSANITY!!!!

I never heard of this guy a couple of weeks ago and now he's all over the place. Interesting because he is getting attention both good and bad. Jason Whitlock twittered something about Lin's anatomy which was TOTALLY inappropriate. Then Floyd Mayweather mentioned that the only reason why he was getting attention was because he is Asian and he wasn't doing anything different than black players. Someone always has to play the race card.

What makes the story so interesting is that this guy came out of no where and is lighting it up. Sure, he is Asian and that is part of the story but he is proving to be a star in the league. Also of interest is that he is articulate and a Harvard grad and not your typical young NBA guard. He was overlooked by a number of teams and he was finally signed by the Knicks and was sleeping on his brother's couch. It is literally LINSANE!!!

What I love about the story is that even though he is getting all this attention, he is continuing his strong play. A few nights ago, he outdueled Kobe and the Lakers and then last night he hits the game winning 3 pointer. This guy is a marketer's dream. Hopefully the guy can keep it up.

Love the story and the interesting thing is that I actually now follow how the Knicks are doing.

The Knicks were sucking up the joint before he took over. Amare and Melo don't play defense and certainly have never shown any real penchant for leadership.

It is amazing how much this guy from out of nowhere has changed everything for the Knicks. Awesome!

Will be interesting to see how Melo enjoys sharing the spot light. He has already said that he wants to be the guy that takes the last shot. I'm sure it bothers him that there is a new kid in town that is getting all the attention.

Melo will be back from injury soon. We'll see if he adds to the success or shakes things up.

It doesn't matter what Melo wants. They didn't win with him leading. He needs to work to fit in with Lin - not the other way. Hopefully D'Antoni recognizes that as a coach.

Agree but that is easier said than done. Guys like Melo can create big problems if they are unhappy. Hopefully for Dantoni and the Knicks Melo accepts his role whatever it is.

If he doesn't - just trade him.
