Raheem Morris joins Redskins' staff

Morris has signed on to coach the DBs. He comes with good experience as he had a one-year stint as Kansas State's defensive coordinator then coached the Buccaneers defensive backs. Morris was Tampa Bay's defensive backfield coach for four seasons. He replaced Monte Kiffin as defensive coordinator in 2008.

Our DBs need some help and Morris seems like a no nonsense type of guy that has leadership qualities and should be able to command the respect of our DBs.

Good pickup. The guy has a proven defensive approach and his head coaching experience makes him a strong presence in the locker room. Our secondary was a weakness last season...primarily due to injuries, but D. Hall and Josh Wilson seemed to regress. Morris should whip them back into shape.

I don't like that Keenan McCardell was let go. If you factor in Hankerson's development, I think the receiving corps were on the right track. I'll be interested to see who replaces him. A rumor was floated that Henry Ellard may be in the mix.
