Easter Epic

Hockey playoffs bring about some great and tragic moments depending on who you are rooting for. I believe sudden death OT is some of the most exciting moments in all of sports.

Robs will remember the Easter Epic and how we sat in the Cap Centre until almost 2 am only to be let down by what seemed like a harmless slap shot from LaFontaine. Still, a tremendous game by Bob Mason and Kelly Hrudey.

Hopefully, in the end, we can find ourselves on the winning side of this playoff tournament.

Man, I remember just sitting in disbelief when it was over. Driving home was kind of a daze and then I think we stopped in at Hardee's for an early morning meal.

That was a classic - too bad it didn't go the Caps way.

A Stanley Cup victory will wash all of the historical demons aside.

Disbelief is the word.

We were planning on eating after the game so I was hungry but by the time the game was over, nothing was open.

We ended up eating donuts at Mister Donut. I suppose it was a very late dinner OR a very early breakfast. Either way, it SUCKED because the Caps blew it!

This is the best Caps team I can ever remember and winning the Cup erases all the let downs in the past.

I also remember grabbing one of those big banner signs that they put inside the arena. I folded it up and wrote many of the vital stats on that thing. I had it under my bed for the longest time but wonder what ever happened to it.

Anyway, it is time for the Caps to make amends.

UNLEASH THE FURY!!!

Mister Donut! Right. Was that the one in Vienna?
