Favre thoughts

So I caught much of the first half of the Viking/Texan game last night. Favre's numbers ended up being solid. He didn't do anything spectacular as it seemed like mostly dinks and dunks. Still, maybe that is all that is needed. He didn't make any mistakes and that was good for him and the Vikings. What I did find interesting was that he seemed to be going out of his way to engage with players on the sidelines. I think he is trying to build some camarderie and trying to gel with the guys. Good for him.

Other thoughts I had were that I was very impressed with the Viking defense. I didn't realize the Texans had the third best offense last year (in terms of yards per game) but the Vikings stuffed them.

Also, A. Peterson is a beast! Tremendous combination of speed and power.

Still think Favre is an ass.

He is great at handing it off. Favre will still throw his interceptions. He is over the hill.

Aside from that crackback cheapshot, Favre was solid. He obviously knew he made a bad play on that block by his expression afterwards. Bad play, old man.

I still say, if he can stay healthy, he will be the reason why the Vikings contend for the Super Bowl this year. He's still better than 75% of the starting QBs out there.

He was solid but didn't do anything spectacular. Fortunately he didn't do anything detrimental.

Should the Vikings contend for the Super Bowl it will be because A. Peterson and that defense.

I don't believe Favre is better than 75% of the starting QBs out there

Sounds like a wager opportunity. Paul should put his money where his mouth is. You should just base it on the year-end quarterback ratings based on quarterbacks that have started at least 12 games.

Did you hear that Chuckey was feeding Farve plays from 12 years ago and Farve was right on with the plays?

I also think that he's an ass and he should have stayed retired.

What do you think Schneider (no not Rob) I mean Snyder would pay for a talent like Brandon Marshall? I heard today that Devin will barely make the team.

Should NOT get Marshall. Too much of a head case and problem. He has had a number of issues and he is also looking for a mega deal. The video of his insubordination in practice is ridiculous. He just cost himself millions with those actions.

Thomas will probably be relegated to kick/punt returns.

He said that he was sorry. At least he didn't torture a dog. Wait a minute, don't you torture your monkey via continual spanking during the day?

If the Vikings win, it will be DESPITE Favre. He throws too many interceptions and will complain about shoulder issues when it is clear the game has passed him by (by about week 7).

Of course, he'll retire again at the end of this year. After an 8-8 season, the Redskins will be the next Favre suitor. They will drop JC and play the dance with Favre all off-season.

The chance of the Skins going after Favre next year is about as likely as Robs allowing Scott to ravage his fat loose arse...I guess Favre will be wearing a Skin uniform next year.
